  • 🌙 A Glimpse Into the History

Reiki was developed in Japan in the early 1920s by Mikao Usui, a Buddhist who sought to understand how Jesus and Buddha performed healing. After a 21-day meditation and fasting retreat on Mount Kurama, Usui is said to have received the ability to channel universal healing energy — what we now know as Reiki. From there, it was passed down through students and eventually made its way to the West in the late 1930s, where it has grown into a widely accepted complementary wellness practice.

🌿What is Reiki?

This is a popular question and you aren’t alone.

If you are familiar with Qigong, Chinese energy work and Tai Chi, which is a specific martial art and form of Qigong, it may be easier to understand Reiki.  Reiki is a Japanese energy healing technique that focuses on channeling universal life force energy through the hands. All three focus on well-being and are rooted in energy work, but Qigong and Tai Chi involve active, self-directed movement and breath, whereas Reiki is a passive, hands-on healing method applied to others.

This is where Lucid Reiki Healing is exceptional.  Clients are combining self-directed thought, self-directed movement and self-directed breath, with Reiki and Sound Bowl.

In order to feel good and be in good health, we need our bodies energy field to operate in a balanced state.

So, let’s get into it.  What do, I do, for a client?

Step 1.  You will be guided through a breathing session, with the goal of bringing your brain frequency lower than “beta”.  Your brain can now function under calm conditions.  Your personal energy, assists your body to go into self-care and self-repair flow.

Step 2. You, seated, lying down or reclining, receive a full Reiki session.

Step 3 The Sound Bowl session allows you to feel the vibrations of each sound bowl, wash over your body, permeating every cell in your body.  Each bowl is tuned to a vibration matching to each of the 7 Energy Zones or Chakras in your body, restoring balance to those Energy Zones.
